(Migrated) Mac OS, the notifyx is not working

(This message has been automatically imported from the retired mailing list)

inotifyx is a simple Python binding to the Linux inotify file system =
event monitoring API.

On the Mac os, if I choosed =A1=AEgunicorn_worker_class=3Dgevent=A1=AF, =
=A1=AEhot-deploy=A1=AF is not working.

so now, I was running the zato in the virtual arch linux.

And I do not know why, the command ’ ./bin/python bootstrap.py -v =
1.7.0(File:bootstrap.py;Line:246)=A1=AF is blocking long time. my =
colleagues can not to install.=

Hi,

Can you please send the logs where inotifyx is being installed on Mac OS?

As you can see here, Darwin config doesn’t have inotifyx - watchdog
should be used instead.

On the Mac os, if I choosed ‘gunicorn_worker_class=gevent’, ‘hot-deploy’ is not working.

Right, so this would be an issue with watchdog. But what happens if you
deploy it from the GUI? Can you confirm this one is fine?

And I do not know why, the command ’ ./bin/python bootstrap.py -v 1.7.0(File:bootstrap.py;Line:246)’ is blocking long time.

Sorry, I’ve never seen it - do you mean it blocks and never completes?
Or completes after a long pause? Can it be a firewall? Does it happen on
all systems? On Mac OS only?

Unfortunately, I have no Mac OS to test everything on and was looking
for a hosting company willing to sponsor an instance to no avail.

If someone can suggest an open-source friendly Mac OS hosting company,
please speak up.

thanks,
