(Migrated) about changing web admin's user password

(This message has been automatically imported from the retired mailing list)

Hello, is there an option to change the web admin’s user password non
interactively? (the quickstart doesn’t have an option to specify it)

I look for it in the documentation, and command’s help and found nothing to
do this

Thanks,

Hi Anielkis,

yes, you need to combine --store-config with from-config

https://zato.io/docs/admin/cli/index.html#common-options
https://zato.io/docs/admin/cli/from-config.html

Each CLI command accepts a --store–config flag which saves all
parameters of a command to file.

Next you can re-run the same command using from-config, pointing it to
the file saved in a previous step.

So what you need in your situation is to:

  • Run zato update password with the --store-config flag
  • Update the generated file with the password of your choice
  • Run from-config using the update config file
